Come and join us again in Bozeman for some great racing. The sprint is flat and fast!  While the Olympic will likely use most of the sprint course, but with the bike and run courses extended to reflect the longer distances.

  • Olympic – 1500m swim, 40k (24.8) mile bike, 10k (6.2 mi) run
  • Sprint – 750m (0.47 mi) swim, 20k (12.4) mi bike, 5k (3.1 mi) run
  • Race as an individual or team of 2 or 3

The Bozeman Masters Swim Club will be hosting both Sprint and Olympic distance races.  So whether you like to go short and fast, are just diving into triathlons, or want to take on a bigger challenge, the Bozeman Tritons Triathlon has something for you.  Both races are USAT sanctioned, so you can count on a high level of safety and professionalism.  Registration is open and will be limited to the first 250 racers.



The Sprint race is one lap around the pond (750 meters), and then off to the 20 km bike course.  The bike is an out and back, featuring gentle up and down grades, with one solid climb.  There will be no aid stations on the ride, but volunteers will be there for you if necessary.  There will be one aid station along the run that can be accessed on each lap. The Olympic distance will loop twice around the pond, totally a 1500m swim, before heading off on a 40k (24.8) mile bike. The course will start on the sprint bike course, but take you further. The course will contain gentle  up and down grades and one solid climb. It will be an out and back course with no aid stations, but plenty of volunteers. The 10k (6.2 mi) run will be mainly flat, on trails, and will have two aid stations that can be accessed twice each. The run will be two laps of the same loop.

    • Hey Mary,
      You don’t have to wear a wetsuit but if you have one or have access to one I would definitely recommend using it. The water will still be pretty cold in June and wetsuits make you faster anyways.
